Creamy Bacon Pasta
24 oz. thin spaghetti cooked and well drained
3 oz package of real bacon bits
2 cups cream
1 cup milk
¼ cup fresh Parmesan cheese, grated (can use Kraft)
1 Tbs. butter
1 cup chicken stock or bouillon
2 Tbs. flour
¼ to ½ cup fresh diced onion
2 cloves garlic
Salt and fresh ground pepper, to taste
Prepare the spaghetti following the package directions, then drain well. Cook onion and garlic in butter until translucent. Whisk in flour and then stock or bouillon. Heat and whisk until smooth. Add milk and whisk until smooth. Add cream and continue to heat and whisk until smooth. Add cheese. Heat and whisk until smooth and coats spoon. Add bacon bits. Add salt and pepper to taste. Toss pasta with sauce. Serves 6 as a main dish.
