Pie Crust (For 10-inch double crust)
Ingredients
2 cup sifted flour
1 tsp. salt
1 cup shortening
½ cup cold water (roughly, add as you create the dough to achieve the right texture)
Preparation
Sift flour and salt together. Cut in shortening until mixture looks like cornmeal. Mix in water. Roll out, cut and press into pie pans. Bake at 425°F until lightly golden if baking a single crust. Other pies varies in temperature depending on filling. (Usually around 350°F)
