Frozen Strawberry Delight
Crust
1 cup flour
½ cup brown sugar
1 cup chopped walnuts
½ cup butter
Filling
3 egg whites
1 cup whipping cream, beaten
⅔ cup sugar
2 Tbs. lemon juice
1 pt pkg. frozen strawberries
Crust (graham cracker or chocolate crust may be substituted)
Melt butter, add brown sugar and nuts. Sprinkle flour on top and stir. Place on shallow baking pan and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes stirring occasionally to brown. Reserve some crumb mixture to sprinkle on top. Place the rest in 9x13 baking pan or 2 pie pans.
Filling
Beat egg whites until foamy. Add strawberries, lemon juice. Beat for 1 minute and add sugar and beat till stiff peaks. Fold in whipped cream and pour into crust shell. Sprinkle with reserved crumbs and freeze till frozen. Serves many.
