Lion House Apple or Peach Crisp
6 large apples or peaches, sliced and sprinkled with lemon juice
1½ cup packed brown sugar
1 cup flour
1 cup butter
1½ cup oats
Arrange sliced fruit in buttered 9x13 baking dish. Combine sugar and flour, cut in shortening. Toss in oats. Spoon over fruit pushing lightly. Bake 35 to 40 minutes at 350℉. Serve warm with ice cream or cooled with whipped cream.
Serves 12 at 317 calories per serving.
