2 Tablespoons Dry Active Yeast
½ cup sugar
½ cup vegetable shortening
2 teaspoons salt
¼ cup warm water
1 cup hot water
4½ cups flour
3 eggs
¼ cup melted butter
Add yeast to warm water and set aside for 10 minutes. Combine sugar, vegetable shortening and hot water. Add eggs and yeast mixture. Add flour and salt to make bread dough. Knead dough and set aside for at least 2 hours, covered. Punch the dough down and divide into six parts. Roll out 1/6 of the dough mixture on a floured surface in a circle. Spread melted butter on the surface of the rolled out dough. Cut into eight wedges with a pizza wheel. Starting at the large end, roll each wedge toward the center. Place on wax paper, on a cookie sheet. Brush the rolls with butter. Let the rolls raise for at least 20 minutes or until they appear the right size to bake. Bake at 400° for 10 minutes.
